Implants

A dental implant is a surgical component that is placed into the bone of the jaw.
It supports a dental prosthesis such as a crown, which is used to replace one missing tooth, abridge two or more missing teeth, or anchor a denture if all teeth are missing.

Dental implants help preserve bone structure, prevent teeth from shifting, and provide stability and functionality. Implants also allow patients renewed comfort, maintain oral health, improve the ease of tasks such as eating, and restore confidence in their smile.

They look, feel, and function like your natural teeth, and require no more care than they do.

Restoration

A tooth restoration, or filling, is used to restore or repair missing teeth or parts of a tooth structure.

Loss of a tooth or structure can be a result of carries or external trauma. A filling is used to restore the tooth’s normal functionality, integrity, and shape.

Different materials are used for fillings, including gold, porcelain, composite resin, and amalgam. A filling can be an integral way to maintain your oral health and restore a beautiful smile.

Whitening

Many factors in our daily lives lead to teeth discoloration and staining. Some of the most common reasons include drinking caffeinated beverages such as coffee, tea, and soft drinks, or wine.

Our teeth whitening procedures can help bring your pearly whites back to their natural, youthful shade.

The Zoom! Whitening system offers either an in-office procedure or take-home whitening kits. With the in office Zoom!, up to 8 shades whiter can be achieved. The take home kits come with custom made trays and gel to be used day or night.

Call to book your complimentary consultation; we’ll help determine if whitening is the right cosmetic service for you. Let us help you restore that gleaming smile.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a removable, transparent, and custom fitted aligner system that straightens your teeth in gradual consecutive movements. Without the hassle of traditional braces, Invisalign aligners can be taken out to eat and brush, and are worn all other times.

More comfortable and virtually invisible, these aligners won’t cause food to get stuck in your teeth nor do they require tightening and maintenance.

Specially trained and certified to treat using Align Technology, Dr. Hamad will determine if Invisalign can help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.

Extraction

According to our preventative dental approach, tooth extraction is always the last solution we offer, due to the permanent nature of the procedure. Tooth extraction is a minor oral surgery performed, as mentioned only in extreme cases and when necessary. One of the most common conditions that require extraction is infected teeth that cannot be restored, and badly broken teeth and roots. Other conditions include wisdom teeth that are unable to grow normally or are badly positioned.

Extracting problematic teeth can help others grow normally and prevent overcrowding or damage to your oral health.

For these and other treatments, we offer Nitrous oxide (laughing gas). This helps ensure your treatment is as comfortable as possible, helping you to relax and avoiding discomfort.

Root Canal Treatments

Toothaches and other sensations of pain or sensitivity are often caused by an infected or damaged nerve within a tooth.

Root canal therapy treats this condition and relieves pain and discomfort, while saving the structure of the tooth by removing only the damaged nerve. The inside of the tooth is then cleaned and filled.

Root canal therapy allows for the tooth to be preserved and avoids more costly major procedures in the future.  A dental crown is then placed to reinforce the tooth.
The best preventative approach to good oral and overall health is a commitment to daily maintenance through brushing, flossing, and regular visits to the dentist.

However, when plaque is not removed and builds up on teeth, it hardens into tartar. Tartar causes bleeding, and infections below the gum line leading to a gum disease known as Gingivitis.

Gingivitis is often painless, but it does have warning signs such as bleeding, red, swollen, or tender gums. It can be reversed by regular debridement (scaling above and below the gum line by the dentist). However, if not treated properly and at the right time, it will progress into a more complicated disease called Periodontitis, which infects not only the gums but also the bone structure around teeth.

This causes the attachment of the gum to separate or recede from teeth, which is irreversible. This can cause teeth to become loose or fall out, or require removal by a dentist.

Night Guard
Sport Guard

Night Guard

Involuntary teeth grinding or clenching occurs most often while you sleep. This is usually caused by stress or misaligned teeth, and can cause damage to your teeth and jaw joints. A custom-made night guard can help protect your teeth from these harmful effects. It is fitted to your upper or lower teeth to prevent teeth from grinding and position your jaw in a relaxed state.

Sports Guard

Many sports activities carry significant risk to your teeth, jaw, and tongue. Help protect your smile with a custom fitted sports guard. The custom fit is molded to your mouth specifically, and can be designed to suit the needs of different athletes and sports, including varying thicknesses.

Laser Dentistry

We are proud to offer some of the latest advancements in dental techniques and technologies. Among these advancements has been the development of laser dentistry, which has become very important in recent years. Laser dentistry is used to treat a variety of gum conditions, including lesions, cancer sores, and gum disease. It is also used for cosmetic purposes such as reshaping gums to create a more attractive smile. Laser dentistry is entirely safe and CDA (Canadian Dental Association) approved. It allows for a higher level of precision with less pain and bleeding than traditional surgical tools. One of the main advantages of laser procedures is the significantly reduced postoperative pain that patients experience, as well as faster healing times.
